Brian Proffit calls his testimony “Riding God’s Roller Coaster” because it has been a journey with a lot of twists and turns. He started a software company in Dallas, and after six years there he left to be part of the OS/2 design and development team at IBM’s laboratory in Boca Raton, Florida, where he represented IBM as a speaker at conferences and seminars around the world. He left IBM for Ziff-Davis Publishing where he was director of PC Week Corporate Labs in Foster City, California. God intervened in his life at that point, and Brian was a freelance writer while attending Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. After seminary he served as pastor of Victory Baptist in Inverness, Florida. From there, God provided the opportunity to build on all that past experience as Brian took a position with Group Publishing in Loveland, Colorado where he developed resources for pastors and church leaders.

Today Brian oversees BP Resources, a new venture he launched. His work there covers a wide variety of areas, from Preaching Unleashed to the free Smart Ministry newsletter to Publishing Your Work to being the Denver Christianity Examiner.
