When starting something new…
When starting his new ministry, Noah was ridiculed far and wide. David had to fight a giant. When starting his, Isaiah had his lips blistered with a hot coal. Jesus was nearly starved in the wilderness while being supernaturally tempted. Paul was struck blind.
Today I am starting a new ministry.
Many of you already know that being certain God is behind something is no guarantee that it will be easy–but it’s certainly cause for excitement and peace. And I have plenty of excitement as I officially take over Smart Ministry now. I’ve been publishing it for Group and am distributing this free resources to tens of thousands of church leaders myself.
I’m also excited about Preaching Unleashed, which is a greatly enhanced version of Group’s Preaching Plus. It will take a lot of work over the next few days, but we’ve made great progress and are almost there.
Lots of people will question your intelligence if you leave a steady paycheck during our current economic climate. But our security can only come from the Lord, not any earthly organization no matter how Christian they may be.
So I invite you to join me on this new ministry adventure. It’s going to be exciting to see where God leads!
